Meet The Wiles

Elevating family celebrations with custom menus and hand-calligraphed signage, hoarding countless vases, platters and decor elements until storage units were bursting at the seams - these sisters-in-law decided to share their love of entertaining with the rest of us, opening Wile Events in 2012.

We are sisters in law married to brothers, which explains the same last name, yet no shared resemblance. 

We met in college in New York City where we not only quickly built our friendship but also collectively cut our teeth professionally, post graduation, in a few distinct areas that really helped to shape our skill set. 

Gabrielle worked in Public Relations and Hospitality in Manhattan in the Film and Entertainment sector, where she gained valuable experience in event planning, crisis management and how to bring the spark of an idea into a tangible well curated experience. The thrill of creating these moments are where she identified her true passion for producing special events that resonated with her clientele. 

While Lorraine, a talented Graphic Designer, with stints in fashion and interior design, settled into a Marketing Director position in NYC for a luxury concierge firm. Creating marketing materials, designing logos, rebranding websites, and creating digital invitations and e-communications, she helped to best showcase the individuals and brands she served, delivered with a sharp sense of style. 

We were both doing well, but not exactly feeling fulfilled. What we did know was that we had an array of sharp skills, a keen eye for design and a deep love of entertaining that deserved to be better put to use. While spending a snowy weekend together in Vermont in 2012, we decided to start our own company that tapped into our collective experience and strengths and the rest is history. 

We quickly realized we were more than just event planners with logistical prowess, and that we had a true passion in the design process - creating beautiful and elevated experiences that reflected our clients’ unique personalities and styles and having a tangible role in bringing that to life. 

Gabrielle is a proud member of the Chapel Designers, an international collective of luxury wedding and event floral designers. Over the years, she has expanded her knowledge and expertise by working with some of the most renowned and well respected designers in the industry on nationally recognized events and has been a featured educator on the subject for those looking to get into floristry. 

Lorraine has been able to showcase her graphic design abilities by creating everything from bespoke paper suites, to large scale branded moments and coordinating onsite materials to carry each client's custom design concept throughout the event. She treats each event as a micro marketing project, tailoring a branding story to compliment the overall event design concept for a truly cohesive experience.

Together, they dig into the creative process of drawing out nuances of their clients personalities and design ethos to develop a plan to tell their story in the most exquisite way.
